Sony SDX2-50C AIT-2 has a tape width of 8mm and 250 Meter tape length. Native data storage of 50GB and 130GB compressed data storage. Features like Advanced Metal Evaporated(AME), Diamond Like Coating(DLC) and Memory In Chip(MIC) help retain data and provide higher strength with increased longevity. SDX2-50c uses MIC (Memory in Cassette) it feature a built-in flash memory chip that stores directory and operational information. The result is rapid access to desired data and greatly reduced loading and ejection times. Sony SDX2-50C has DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) Coating the tape surface is protected by a smooth carbon coating that is nearly as hard as diamond and 20 times harder than metal oxides.
