DATA CART DLTIII The Quantum DLTtape family of half-inch cartridges, approved for use in all DLT tape drives and autoloaders, delivers the highest capacity of any cartridge used in a 5.25-inch tape drive – up to 35 gigabytes (GB) or 70 (GB) in compressed mode. To ensure accuracy, a patented tape leader ensures consistent tape motion, while a unique tape/reel locking mechanism prevents tape slack. The tape itself features a special high-grade metal particle (MP) formula that reduces tape and head wear. The result is tape that delivers a proven one million passes with a negligible impact on soft error rates and a 30-year archival life.
